Welcome! I am Ali Al-Ramadan, a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at Kent State University, advised by Prof. Jonathan I. Maletic.

Research: My research is in AI for software engineering with a focus on combining static program analysis and program transformation with large language models to support the maintenance and evolution of large-scale software. Recent work focuses on detecting code quality issues, automating repetitive code changes, and analyzing quantum programs.

My work has appeared in venues such as the IEEE International Conference on Software Maintenance and Evolution (ICSME), IEEE Software, and the IEEE International Conference on Quantum Computing and Engineering (QCE). I am also a maintainer of srcML, an open-source infrastructure for the analysis and transformation of source code. I serve on the program committee of the IEEE/ACM International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE 2027) and served as Review Compliance Chair of ICSME 2026.

Industry: I work through Mercor as an AI research collaborator at Cincinnatus LLC, on machine learning performance engineering for a leading AI research lab.
